Overview: Fresh out of high school, with nothing but a can-do attitude and a passion for music, Sharif Dakhan came into the music scene in early 2012 after going into the studio with producers Blake Grimes and Alex Smalls of Just Say Yes. His debut single, "Cherry Trees", combines a unique blend of late 90's alternative and an Indie feel with modern pop flair. The songs cheery tone contrasts the rather angsty heartbroken lyrics that give his music a unique feel. In early June, Sharif decided to make the project official, coming out under the name The Blue Planet. He will continue to write and record more throughout the summer hoping to release a short EP in late 2012.
